Find answers to common questions about ordering specialist glass, selecting the right materials, using our services, arranging delivery, and visiting Pearsons Art Glass. Whether you are buying for restoration work, production, workshop use or a specialist commission, this page is designed to help trade customers and professionals get to the right products and services faster.

Ordering and Product Selection

What types of glass does Pearsons Art Glass supply?

Pearsons supplies a broad specialist range, including stained glass, fusible glass, restoration glass, mouth-blown glass, textured glass and brand-led collections. You can explore the main range through Glass, as well as related categories for Fusible Glass and Glass Fusing.

How do I choose the right glass for a trade project?

Start with the application first, not the colour. The right choice depends on whether the project is leaded, fused, decorative, restorative or workshop-based. From there, narrow by finish, texture, compatibility and size. A good place to start is Glass or Lead Came if the job is leaded.

Do you sell full glass sheets as well as smaller quantities?

Yes. Pearsons offers full sheet options as well as a dedicated Full Sheets and Crating service. This is especially useful for trade customers, repeat production work and projects where consistency matters.

Do you supply lead came and related materials for traditional stained glass work?

Yes. Pearsons carries lead came and supporting products for traditional stained glass and leadlighting work. You can browse the range through Lead Came and Tools and Accessories.

Do you stock tools and equipment as well as glass?

Yes. In addition to specialist glass, Pearsons stocks a wide range of workshop tools, equipment and accessories. You can browse these through Tools and Accessories.

Can I view a catalogue before ordering?

If a current digital catalogue is available, this should be linked from here so customers can review the range before ordering. If you still maintain a downloadable catalogue, link it directly from this page.

Technical Guidance

What is the difference between fusible and non-fusible glass?

Fusible glass is intended for kiln work and must be chosen from compatible systems designed to be fired together. Non-fusible glass is generally used for stained glass, leaded work, restoration and decorative applications where kiln compatibility is not the main requirement. See Fusible Glass for compatible kiln-working ranges.

How do I know if glass is compatible for fusing?

Do not assume different glass types are compatible just because they look similar. For fusing, use glass from the same compatible system and product family wherever possible. If you are unsure, start with the Fusible Glass range or contact our team before ordering.

Can you recommend materials for beginners as well as trade professionals?

Yes, but the right answer depends on the project. Some customers need starter materials and practice glass, while others need higher-spec products for trade work, restoration or production. If you need guidance, the best route is to contact the team with the application in mind.

Do you offer learning resources or technical guidance?

Yes. Pearsons is building out technical and learning support around materials, firing, workshop processes and related product selection. This works alongside product categories for Glass Fusing and Kilns.

Services

Do you offer cut-to-size glass?

Yes. Pearsons offers a dedicated cut-to-size service for a wide range of projects. You can find more information on the Cut to Size and Template service page.

Can Pearsons cut glass to templates or complex shapes?

Yes. Pearsons also offers a cut-to-template service for more intricate or bespoke requirements. This is especially useful for restoration work, specialist commissions and non-standard shapes. See Cut to Size and Template.

Do you offer laminating services?

Yes. Laminating is part of Pearsons’ broader Additional Services offering, alongside cut-to-size, studio rental, full sheets and crating. See Additional Services.

Do you provide crating or specialist packaging for glass orders?

Yes. Pearsons provides packaging and crating options for suitable orders, particularly where larger or more fragile sheets need additional protection in transit. See Full Sheets and Crating.

Can I rent studio space or use workshop equipment at Pearsons?

Yes. Pearsons offers studio rental as part of its service range. If studio and kiln hire are still available, this page can direct customers to call the team for availability and current pricing.

Can I get a discount on larger orders?

If larger-order discounts are still available, customers should be directed to call the Art Glass team to discuss eligibility, quantities and order type before purchase.

Delivery and Trade Ordering

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes. Pearsons offers nationwide delivery for Art Glass orders. Delivery arrangements depend on the nature of the items ordered, particularly where size, fragility or specialist packaging is involved. See Delivery Information.

Are there any delivery restrictions I should know about?

Yes. Oversize items, cut-to-size glass, split deliveries, back orders and additional packaging requirements may fall outside standard delivery terms. It is worth checking the Delivery page before ordering if your project depends on timing or special handling.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Dispatch timing should follow the current operating standard. If your page needs a fixed expectation, confirm it internally first rather than publishing an outdated promise.

Do you publish carriage charges?

Shipping costs can vary depending on weight, size, destination and any special packaging required. The safest route is to refer customers to the Delivery page or prompt them to contact the team for order-specific shipping costs.

Do you support trade accounts or trade customers?

Yes. Pearsons supports trade customers and has a dedicated Trade Area. If you are ordering regularly or sourcing for professional use, this is the best place to start.

Can I get help choosing the right glass or service before ordering?

Yes. If you need advice on material selection, compatibility, services, sizing or packaging, please contact the team before placing your order.

Visiting the Shop

Can I visit the Pearsons Art Glass shop in person?

Yes. Pearsons Art Glass welcomes customers to its Liverpool location, where you can browse products, compare materials and speak to the team directly. Visit the Contact page for location details and contact information.

What should I know before visiting the shop?

It is sensible to check opening times before travelling and contact the team if you want to confirm stock, materials or service availability in advance.

Can I get advice in person before buying?

Yes. Visiting the shop can be a practical way to compare glass, tools and supporting materials in person, especially if you are buying for a trade project, workshop use or a specialist application.
