3. Log In To Your Account
Please keep your login details and passwords confidential. Safekeeping of these details and use of your account are your responsibility.
Some items sold are not suitable for minors. All users must be over 18 or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
Pearsons Glass Ltd reserves the right to cancel any account or order at its discretion.
4. Your Information
When using this site, it may be necessary to submit your name, address, email, phone number and other information when placing an order or creating an account. By doing this, you authorise Pearsons Glass to communicate with you electronically.
This information will only be provided to a third party for the purpose of fulfilling your order. Your information will not be shared with any other parties.
6. Goods
All goods supplied are sold on the understanding that all relevant safety procedures are undertaken when using them.
Colour
Due to manufacturing processes, coloured glass may vary from batch to batch and sheet to sheet. Customers are advised to order enough glass for their project to ensure colour continuity. Website images are only representations of colour and may vary depending on the display screen used.
Pearsons Glass accepts no responsibility if the colour supplied has a slight variance from that advertised or differs from samples from previous batches or deliveries. Samples represent the current batch colour held in stock and it is advisable to purchase samples before ordering glass on this basis.
Glass Quality and Imperfections
Due to the manufacturing process, coloured glass may contain bubbles, seeds and imperfections that are natural characteristics of the glass. This may include marks that at first sight could appear to be scratches or defects.
If you require glass with minimal defects, please speak to a member of our team to clarify which ranges may be best suited and order enough glass to accommodate wastage.
Stock Sheets
Stock sheet sizes can vary from sheet to sheet due to the manufacturing process and may be out of square. If you plan to cut specific sizes from a stock sheet, please allow for additional wastage. All stock sheets are supplied with clean cut edging and care should be taken when handling.
Bespoke Sizes, Hobby-Cut and Laminated Glass
Tolerances of +/- 2mm are allowed on bespoke sized glass, Hobby-Cut glass and laminated glass. These products are supplied with clean cut edging and care should be taken when handling.
Laminated glass is supplied with a 5-7mm clear taped border inside the two layers of glass, visible when viewing the face of the glass. Finished thicknesses can be confirmed when ordering.
7. Pricing
Despite our best efforts, products may occasionally be priced or described incorrectly. Where the correct price is lower than the stated price, you will be charged the lower price. If the correct price is higher, Pearsons Glass may supply the goods at the stated price, contact you for instructions, or cancel the order where the pricing error is obvious.
All goods remain the property of Pearsons Glass until delivery. Emails received from Pearsons Glass are order acknowledgements, not confirmations or acceptance. Orders are accepted at the stage of delivery.
If payment is not received on time, Pearsons Glass may cancel or withhold dispatch of outstanding orders. Late or overdue payments may be subject to statutory interest and fixed debt recovery costs.
Orders may only be cancelled with permission from Pearsons Glass Limited and must be confirmed in writing by the customer. All prices are exclusive of VAT and are subject to change without prior notice.
8. Delivery
Pearsons Glass offers delivery via its own fleet, employees of the business and nominated carrier services. The appropriate method will be selected by Pearsons Glass based on the goods ordered.
Goods may be left at an unattended delivery address or with a neighbour willing to sign for them. If you do not want goods left in a safe place or with a neighbour, this must be confirmed with your order. Goods left in this way are entirely at the customer's own risk.
Pearsons Glass Limited reserves the right to deliver part orders at its discretion for logistical reasons. Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
All goods must be thoroughly inspected within 48 hours of delivery. Any damage, faults, errors or shortages must be notified in writing within 3 days. After this period, Pearsons Glass will hold no liability for damages or faults.
9. Breakage Cover
Breakage Cover is a way of ensuring delivery breakages are resolved with minimal inconvenience. If an item is delivered damaged and Breakage Cover has been purchased, it will be automatically replaced or refunded, including free delivery of the replacement item.
Items delivered damaged without Breakage Cover will need to be reviewed and/or inspected by our team, either through photographic evidence or by returning the goods. If goods are returned for inspection, we recommend using a tracked courier or postal service.
If an item is delivered damaged, Pearsons Glass must be notified by email at artglass@pearsons-glass.co.uk within 3 days of receipt. Photographic proof may be requested.
All Delivery terms and conditions apply.
10. Returns
Goods can only be returned by prior arrangement within 30 days of purchase. These items must be in the same condition as originally supplied, with all original packing material enclosed. Non-stock special order items, bespoke sizes and laminated items cannot be returned.
Distance selling regulations state that you can cancel an order within 7 days of delivery provided you notify us in writing, the item is unused, the item is in the same condition as when received, and all original packaging is retained.
Goods must be returned at your cost or delivered by you to arrive in good condition. Once satisfactorily inspected, a refund will be given less any carriage costs.
If posting returned goods, we recommend recorded delivery. Pearsons Glass accepts no liability for shipments arranged by the customer. You must contact the office in writing before returning goods. No unsolicited goods will be accepted.
11. Guarantees
Pearsons Glass Limited neither implies nor attaches any guarantee of performance or otherwise, other than that issued by the manufacturer, and will only pass on such guarantees.
Pre-wired electrical goods sold by Pearsons Glass Limited will conform to relevant legislation and have CE markings. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that any unwired item is wired by them or their contractor in accordance with all relevant legislation.

14. Safety
Pearsons Glass Limited will endeavour to advise on the use of glass and other materials in low-level glazing and critical locations. However, we are unable to supply any glass that adheres to EN12600 relating to critical locations.
