Pearsons Customer Spotlight celebrates the imagination, skill and craftsmanship of people working with art glass across the UK and beyond. From first projects and decorative panels to architectural installations and private commissions, every finished piece has its own story. By sharing these projects, we hope to recognise the makers behind the work, inspire others in the glass community and show the extraordinary range of ideas that can be brought to life through glass.
Customer Spotlight is an ongoing showcase of projects created by Pearsons customers. Selected submissions may be featured here, in our Inspiration Gallery, across Pearsons social media, in email features or in other Pearsons publications, with maker recognition wherever details are available. Whether you are a professional studio, an experienced artist, a student or someone completing a first project, we would be delighted to see what you have created.
This month's featured project is Nature in Abundance, created by Simon Howard Glass for a private commission in Perthshire, Scotland. The richly detailed panel was produced using Lamberts glass and combines acid etching, hand painting, silver staining and plating. The result is a layered composition that celebrates the colour, movement and detail found in the natural world.
Simon Howard Glass creates distinctive stained and painted glass work, combining traditional processes with detailed contemporary craftsmanship.
Every glass project begins with an idea. It may be inspired by a landscape, a painting, a building, a memory or the character of the person commissioning it. Through design, glass selection, cutting, leading, foiling, painting and finishing, that idea gradually becomes something permanent. The projects below show just some of the different ways members of the Pearsons community are using art glass in homes, gardens and commissioned work.

Claire Williamson Glass
Based on a customer's original painting, this panel was created using a wide range of glass purchased from Pearsons. It was leaded, triple glazed and fitted into the customer's front door.
Linda Willshare, Suti Glass Art
A pair of colourful leaded panels made to replace serving hatch doors for friends in Scotland.
Glassy Witch
A striking suspended glass artwork featuring a bird in flight, created with strong movement, contrast and iridescent detail.
Georgie Lyng
Art Deco-inspired door panels created for Starlight Cottage in Taunton using products supplied by Pearsons Art Glass.
Boris Moscoff
A vibrant stained glass panel featuring flowing colour, a central lotus flower and two dragonflies.
Artloz Creations
Commissioned for a customer who wanted a Lake District-inspired piece filled with colour and texture. The work was created using glass, copper foil and 60/40 solder from Pearsons Art Glass.
Sharing a project gives your work the opportunity to be seen by other artists, makers, customers and people discovering art glass for the first time. Selected projects may be recognised through Pearsons website features, social media posts, email campaigns, gallery content and printed material, with attribution wherever possible. It also helps build a richer community resource, allowing other makers to discover new approaches, materials, techniques and creative possibilities.
Choose clear images or a short video showing the completed project. Where possible, include a view of the work in its finished setting.
Include a short description of the project, the inspiration behind it and the materials or techniques used.
Tell us how you would like to be credited, including a studio name, website or social media profile where applicable.
